Weekly Prayer Focus

BMS Prayer Diary -  Asia region. Asia contains many ethnic groups, religions, political systems and possibly the widest gap between rich and poor anywhere in the world. Some of its economies are in the running for world leadership, yet many are starving. World recession has also had a strong effect in Asia. On the other hand the Church is growing fast and has many lessons to teach us about faith, witness and suffering.

Kent Baptist Churhes - Romney Marsh Christian Fellowship, Rev Philip Rowe.

Our Community - Creteway Close, Fleming Way & Fleming Close and Capel Street, Capel.

Men's Ministry (Project BOB) - Pub Quiz with Guest Speaker

Our next event takes place on Sat. 10th July, starting at 8pm, at the Valiant Sailor pub at the top of Dover Hill, in Capel. Our guest speaker will be Graham Coombes. It would be great if as many men from Hill Road and Capel could support this event and, if possible invite a non-christian friend. Please contact Tom Brunton or Jim Taylor at Hill Road or Stuart Hume at Capel to sign up for this special evening. And prayers from everyone would be appreciated.

Folkestone Choral Society will be performing at St Leonards’ Church Hythe on Saturday 10th July. For details see the Notice Board in the Concourse.

The Good Book Library returns to Hill Rd on July 11th after the morning service.  Please come and browse!  A good selection of Christian books and DVDs available to borrow.

Festival of Male Voice Praise here on Saturday 17th July at 6.30pm. All welcome.

Celia Stanton says “Please help!” There will be 60-70 people for tea and she has organised some people for pouring of tea, washing up and making little cakes but she asked for help with savoury bits. I can sort out the sausage rolls and nibbles and shopping etc but I need some willing hands, male or female for bread buttering and sandwich filling in the afternoon from about 1pm. It's nothing fancy or difficult so training will not be given but the men may need practice so I suggest they prepare the family meals for a week before hand (well it was worth a try ladies). See me on Sunday, email me or ring me on 01303 210667. Thanks. Pauline Fitzpatrick.

Hawkinge Afternoon Fellowship

Pilgrims Hospice 'Moonlight Walk'

Jo and I completed the walk last Saturday evening in very good time (complete with a Police escort because we were "his lead walkers!!"). Thank you to everyone who sponsored me and if anyone would like to do so in retrospect I would be really pleased to see you.  Glynis.
